You explored quite the political side of the country there Matt. I’d been to Sri Lanka last year and had a similar experience in terms of the people and their hospitality. They always welcome you with a smile and greet you even if they don’t know you. I found that very endearing. And to think that it took me so many years before I could visit my southern neighbor (I’m an Indian)..don’t know why I underestimated the country but it’s actually quite beautiful both as a place and as people.

Thanks Matt for the nice review about Sri Lanka. Yes it is, Sri Lankans are very hospitable people despite few minors like in any other community. Especially if you’re going to countryside, the people are more than happy to help you.
Sri Lanka possess an unblemished history and culture which is not second to any other nation in Asia. There are many example still remain for today for visitors to explore about the ancient hydraulic engineering and architecture.
You can experience verity of eco-systems, beaches, climates, views and yummy foods. The country is so rich of beautiful nature.
Despite its small size, Sri Lanka possess high level of biodiversity and wildlife resources, and is rated among the 34 biodiversity hotspots in the world. So Sri Lanka has the highest rates of biological endemism in the world.

Oh, I am so happy to read this Matt! I am taking my 3 kids to the east coast of Sri Lanka! Alone! My kids are little and I was getting nervous about my decision to take my little ones ‘off the beaten path’. After reading this article has made me feel much more at ease! I cannot wait to go!

Sri Lanka has been growing popularity in tourism lately, a few of my friends have been there too, and I’m intrigued to go there too someday.

Thank you for these amazing post, it really interesting! Sri Lanka always inspires me and, Oh my God, now I have a chance to visit it for free. I just ordered the osamresume and sent it to the employer – it was simpler than I expected. Now I waiting for confirming details and till next week I will be there!
