So that’s what we’re doing! It’s getting close to four years now and we’re still on the road. It’s completely intoxicating. Our bucket list fills up quicker than we can empty it, and despite some small limitations due to ageing we see no end in sight to our wandering ways. “Vagabonding” sounds fabulous – I think I’d better go find myself a copy. Thanks for introducing me to Rolf and his book Matt. Great interview.

Great interview. I remember reading his book all that time ago as I travelled across Russia on the trans-siberian train. It’s a great book, quite inspiational, and really well written to.

Excellent interview, and I couldn’t agree more, especially about that part of “slowing down”. I wrote a post on this the other day on my blog, and how this new generation of travelers rush through everything and miss all of it.

Ah Matt…this was an awesome post. We’re at the beginning of our adventures with a three year plan to save & wrap up loose ends before we quite our corporate jobs and head out to see the world. For now we’ll soak up all the information we can, take shorter trips, and prepare for our journey. Thanks for all the excellent advice. We’ll check back often!

Vagabonding was an early inspiration for us, and we loved reading your interview with Potts. Nicely done. We recently gave up our six-figure jobs, conventional comforts and donated it all to set out on “slow-travel.” We chronicle our married, minimalist adventures one kiss at a time on kissingtour.com. Will check out this book, just what I need for my upcoming travel plans and thanks for putting a link to help those affected in the recent disaster in the Philippines. I’m going there for holidays next month and will try and do some volunteer work. It’s going to take some time for them to get back on their feet and they’ll need all the help they can get.
