For decades Hollywood seemed to follow an edict from ‘they’ which required all ‘queer’, ‘gay’, ‘lgbt’ characters to die in the end of the movie, or at least be a tragic character with little hope of ever being worth anything. Fortunately, this seems to have changed, somewhat, since the AIDS related death of Rock Hudson, or there about.
Hopefully we can all find some lgbt movies where the the lgbt characters do not have to die in the end.
Thanks Matt, your list has done that somewhat. ‘To Wong Fu…’ and ‘Priscilla…’ have been in our collection for years and we still watch them when we really need a boost.

In reply to nia. So, can you suggest some movie titles? Personally I cannot; not within my viewing scope. But just complaining is not constructive. Please, offer some constructive suggestions of lesbian travel movies you have liked. That would be an interesting comment to read.

If you don’t like the title “subject” of the article.
Why do you click and read it? Anything with “Christian”, in it’s title I would not bother looking at, as it does not apply to me me and I have No interest.

As a gay man, I find this comment offensive. Oh wait, I’m European, I find it hilarious.
Seriously though, while we’re on the topic, how about some articles, books, movies, studies, political comments and research materials on civil rights issues in SE Asia?

As to the LGBT topics on travel blogs – like it or not, gay tourism generates high profits worldwide hence the need/targeting of this group (not my words, feel free to google it). The only Christian place that I can think of at the moment that does so is the Vatican and I’m pretty sure they have their own ad campaign going on.

To sum up – LGBT=$$$. Also, this is a travel blog, not Sunday mass.

Matt. How about adding books and movies about the experiences of Asian Christians. There are definitely many in your community who follow Jesus and are of Asian culture (including myself). There are hundreds of millions of Asian Christians in the world but we aren’t represented very well.

It would be much more inclusive to add articles, books, and movies centered on the Asian Christian experience. Most travel blogs only cover LGBT topics for some reason.
