Another old post that claims to be updated. How can she say ‘world’ when it is mostly European? She also does not give references to the studies she quotes. Needs to do better

This is a great article! I’m definitely going to read Helen’s book. I come from an Italian family and moved to Italy from London a year and a half ago and I can appreciate what Helen says about Italians absorbing the chaos and appreciating the messiness of life by living in the moment. I live in a small town and find myself doing the same thing every day, but instead of getting bored, I really enjoy the interaction with people as I got about running errands or stopping at the bar for a coffee.

I heard about Finland being the most happy place in the world and also Bhutan. But as I havent been in any of them, from my experience nr one is Thailand and second Myanmar, where I found people just gorgeous.

I LOVE Helen’s work though I wish she mentioned findings from at least few non European countries as well in the examples she shared. Brazil was the only non European country up there which gives the impression that perhaps she only traveled around in Europe and South America (Brazil) and not really around the globe as the title suggests. I hope I’m wrong! I’ll buy a copy to find out for myself hehe and of course to support her work 😉
